dad of a 2mo here. one of the best conversations I had with my wife before baby was born was my fear of our household being a failure factory. that I needed space to learn how to care for her, that I wanted to be an active parent. to be that parent I needed space to learn and not be corrected constantly despite the fact she does know more than me. we quickly found the balance of opportunities for her to teach me and opportunities for me to learn on my own because of that conversation and we both feel apart of a team.

Fully disagree. I was a stay at home dad. I learned on the fly and I was a far better parent than my ex wife. The kids stay with me now and not her.

the only thing my real dad tought me was how to do was take a punch, but the man I call dad and the man I call on father's day never dated or married my mom but he saw a scared little kid that was in a bad situation and cared enough to take him in and show him how to be a good man and be a father, and now I seen how my wife's father, ( who is a step father to my wife and her brother and sister) but he treats them like his own kids and raised them. I tell people God showed me what a man and a father is not suppose to be then showed me but examples how men and father are supposed to be, so when my son was born 6 years ago I was scared but confident on how be a father and be a man of the house to lead my family

you are exactly right. I learned more from my dad then I thought when I got married and had kids. I learned how not to treat a wife and kids and how to spend time with your family because all my daddy wanted to do was work 24/7 he worried so much about money we didn't see him except from supper time till bed time. he was gone when we woke up and didn't get home until supper time. we never done anything with him. I made sure I made time to take my family hunting, fishing and to work if I had to work on weekends. GOD, WIFE, FAMILY

Very nice beach, I was lucky to be involved with my sons in scouting. They both were high achievers in Boy Scouts. I tried to do my best, but I had to work a lot to take care of my family. It’s not easy.
