There's this book series called Half Bad about a kid who has a good witch mother and an evil witch father. Whether youre good or bad is decided by your blood so he's Half Bad. He gets treated quite badly because people assume he's evil because of who his father is

having studied drama, this is something that has been a major thing done for forever. Historically, the Greeks would put heavy political/social commentary elements in their shows, to make people see them in a different light and so if the political powers that be got mad at their view point they could just saw, 'well, it's just a story.' Rod Serling was well known to use this technique to present real issues like racism in a non-confrontational way

Who Framed Roger Rabbit has the toons being treated how people of color were in the pre civil rights era. Judge Doom wants to build the highway through toon town, which is what happened to real life neighborhoods

basically all of the high fantasy genre is lowkey racist bc theyre copying tolkien who put a lot of race realism shit in his books. like every time i see the whole ontologically evil race trope i just nope out bc like ur a bad writer for not giving them motivation beyond just “i was born evil because im an orc”
