Great idea! I have been out helping in a shelter and decided to adopt one of the dogs. I would be interested around your procedures and guidelines for supporting adopters please? I know it’s not what you are talking about here but as an adopter who felt left in the dark with little communication from the shelter when I returned to the UK and then found out, I was as responsible for arranging the travel home. I do not wish to criticise other shelters but wondered if this is everyone’s experience. I brought my dog home myself due to lacking communication from both transporters and the shelter. I would be interested in how you guys support adopters with the process please? Xxx

As someone who is seriously hoping to come and volunteer there myself, I’d LOVE to see the practical side of it! 🥹🐾 Maybe a full “day in the life” from leaving the accommodation to getting back how you get to the shelter, what jobs volunteers actually do during the day, feeding/cleaning/walking/socialising, what the accommodation is like, what you wish you knew before you went, what you needed to pack and how you manage seeing the street dogs outside the shelter too. ❤️Basically everything a first-time volunteer would want to know before coming! I’d watch every second ❤️[Teary eyed]

could you spotlight dogs in certain categories too? "big dog of the day", "black dog of the day" etc. Especially for dogs that are often overlooked such as big and/or black dogs?
