the reason is that they perceive it as a personal attack. they have no personalities of their own, they can't draw conclusions about referring to the cbc, so when you are suggesting that the CBC may be inaccurate or is wrong. you are saying that they are wrong as well, that's why they take it so personally and why they are so aggressive
