I am actually very convinced that the real reason Katniss swam faster than Finnick, was the adrenaline from seeing Cinna beaten right in front of her. Not saying she wasn't a good swimmer, we know she was, but I personally don't think she would have beaten Finnick to the cournucopia if it hadn't been for that

Snow made the wrong decision when she angered Katniss by 💀 Cinna. She just made an already lethal career lock in. I bet he was fuming and shocked when he saw Katniss swim just as good as Finnick. Because he knows exactly what it implies when you’re from District 12.

I am so mad they didn’t even put in a line about them training like careers. After the announcement of what the quail will be, they decide to train as though they were from a career district. Going into these games it is a completely different viewpoint because she realizes what it’s like to go into this thing trained and prepared. Even though she is not a book accurate version of the character, she literally is the only person I can imagine as being a movie version of Katniss. She played that role fantastically.

What I love about the books is how unreliable Katniss is, as a narrator. She downplays her capabalities so hard it was a sight to see portrayed in the big screen! She has no idea how eveyone'a afraid of her, even the Careers 🤣
