L5P mom of 2 over here, you cant beat it! More leg room, if someone says well you need trunk space you can always get a trifold bed cover if your worried about stuff flying out or getting caught in rain. Mine seats 6 very comfortable and I average mid 20's mpg.

2014 Ram 1500 crew cab is paid off and a vacation machine. Toddler and German shepherd in the back and Maltipoo, wife and I in the front. Golf clubs, beach stuff, suitcases in the bed. Never fails.
