My issue is as a mom who is raising a son, how are these types of ads going to help us raise men who are respectful to women and their bodies when soft 🌽 is everywhere. It’s also a huge step back for men who are struggling with low impulse control.

I’m upset by it because I don’t want my 7yr old son to see it. I feel like if he’s watching tv I have to be there and prepared to redirect him if it comes on. I don’t want my child or other children to be exposed to this kind of content- it seems like … grooming.

I keep seeing men on my FYP saying “you’re jealous if you have an issue with the Sydney Sweeney commercial… you’re probably fat and ugly… you’re probably racist against white blonde women” - meanwhile there female athletes and sports journalists (all objectively beautiful, strong women) calling out Sydney for setting women back in the sports industry. Yet we have misogynistic men on this app just biting at the bit to continue to bring women down. Their misogyny will never allow them to even listen, for a moment, to WHY exactly this sets women back. They lack critical thinking skills and boil it all down to “you’re just jealous!”
