VAELERIN :
Why? You lost connection with us? The media has lost touch with its audience because too many journalists no longer speak to ordinary people. They speak about them, around them, and sometimes down to them.
People are struggling with groceries, rent, crime, schools, faith, family, and the fear that their children will inherit something worse. Meanwhile, much of the media remains trapped inside political theater, social-media outrage, and arguments that matter chiefly to people who make a living discussing them.
The audience did not suddenly become ignorant. It became suspicious. People recognize when facts are being filtered, when language is being manipulated, and when a reporter has already chosen the hero and the villain before the story begins.
Trust was not stolen from the media. The media spent it.
