Yeah, I 100% agree with your last sentence. Girls in Italy want to be courted and won’t make the first move. It’s a real shame — who knows how many opportunities have been missed because of that lack of initiative.

My Italian grandparents (both from Sorrento) met 100 years ago in NYC since my grandfather worked with her cousin so he introduced him - - to her father and brothers, not to her directly, since she was not allowed to be alone with a man. I hope Italian dating has changed a bit since then. 😁
