Goofy Godzilla Vs Megaguirus Edit - // - Godzilla Vs Megaguirus 2000 - // - What makes that scene in Godzilla vs. Megaguirus so ridiculously funny is that Godzilla is supposed to be this gigantic, terrifying prehistoric monster, yet for a moment he looks like a massive dinosaur desperately trying to swat a bug. Megaguirus is flying around him, and Godzilla keeps trying to catch her. The funniest part is how visibly frustrated he becomes. He starts shaking his head incredibly fast, almost like he’s trying to get an annoying fly away from his face. The sheer mismatch makes it hilarious: this enormous 55-meter Godzilla is having trouble dealing with an insect. Then Megaguirus makes it even worse by basically smiling at him. She looks like she knows exactly what she’s doing. Instead of appearing frightened by Godzilla, she comes across like she’s intentionally messing with him. He suddenly jumps onto her, turning what looked like a goofy game of “catch the bug” into an actual kaiju wrestling match. The physical comedy comes from how expressive the movements are. Godzilla doesn’t just calmly fight her—he looks genuinely irritated that this enormous dragonfly keeps buzzing around him. Meanwhile, Megaguirus’ smug expression makes it feel like she’s enjoying every second of annoying him. It’s one of those moments where the movie accidentally makes Godzilla feel incredibly relatable. You have this legendary monster who has fought other giant creatures, military weapons, and all kinds of disasters, yet apparently his greatest enemy for several minutes And that’s why the scene is so silly. It’s not necessarily badly made—the choreography is actually memorable—but the visual of Godzilla getting visibly annoyed at a giant insect and then launching himself at her is peak kaiju slapstick. - // - #godzilla #godzillaedit #gojira #funnygodzilla #edit @INVINCIBLE - @showjiiii5
