My dads girlfriend bought me my first pairs of thongs bc she caught me cutting my underwear so they wouldn’t show in my leggings or yoga pants (it embarrassed me & I was entering high school soon). I was so happy. She didn’t take me personally but she got me the 5 for 25 at Victoria secret & took a guess what I would like it. I was so happy but it broke my mom’s heart. She wanted to do it & I completely get that. Your feelings are valid 🫶🏻

My son’s stepmom is a hairdresser. She’s cut my son’s hair since he was 3 but that means I never get to be present for the haircuts. No back to school cuts, no birthday cuts. Hair is her love language and I will happily give that to her so my son can feel the overwhelming love that surrounds him.

my dad and step mom have helped with a lot of milestones i know my mom is sad about, but my dad also missed a lot of milestone my mom helped with and i know it made him sad so honestly no one is ever going to win but ive always been happy :)

It took years for my mom and step mom to get to this point with each other. But when they did, my whole world opened up. I’m so grateful. They eventually got to a point where we do one big Christmas all together. The first year we did that, I sobbed. I used to HATE the holidays because of split homes.

As a nail tech who does teen girls nails, they usually so badly want their mom and step mom to not battle against one another and just come to the common ground of doing whatever is best for them as the daughter. Seeing this is so refreshing

I got my first period when I was on my dad’s time. And Ik it’s not my fault but ik my mom really wanted to be there for it. My step mom and her whole family took care of me fs tho!
