you know how many people come in and say "I have an expensive machine at home and I can't pull a decent shot. I've watched YouTube videos and Tik toks. it's so hard". unless you've tasted and trained your taste buds to identify a "good" and "bad" shot you're never going to learn. your brain needs to make that connection to be able to start applying grind size, dosage, tamp pressure etc.

Just a plug here bc I’m obsessed and will say it every chance I get - THE BEANS MAKE SO MUCH DIFFERENCE. The espresso beans from Function changed my love of coffee. If you want a good espresso shot, follow these directions, but if you don’t have good beans, you’re missing out so much. Literal night and day. ❤️❤️❤️

okay question! does the shot haaaave to pull at 25-30 seconds? i keep lowering my grinding my beans finer and i still pull a 20 second shot. I have all the extra set ups in terms of tamper & distributing tool & fresh beans! I use the fellow opus 2 + breville bambino for reference! My shots taste fine… i think lol
