You should try to do clouds rest first if you haven’t , it’s higher elevation and you don’t need a permit it’s about 15 miles it gives you an idea how half dome feels

We did half dome on a whim bc we scored permits the next day and it was the most beautiful hike I’ve ever experienced I highly recommend, took us 16 hours with tons of breaks and relaxing for 3 hours at the top but so worth it!
