So I’ve been with my husband since 15, I struggle to identify as HS sweethearts because we went to two different schools, and we weren’t the couple in the hallways. But I still identify as a HS sweetheart.

My parents dated for 2 1/2 years in high school, broke up, started dating again in college, and I have never heard them refer to themselves as high school sweethearts😭

My bf went to a diff school and was already graduated by the time we started dating and he went to hoco and prom with me so I say yes because we were in the same area and dating when at least one of us was in hs and we’re still dating :)

My bf and I dated at 15-17 during covid. We didn’t go to the same school but would go to each others houses and join the zoom calls and do our work together lol. Broke up at 17 after school went back in person (still separate schools). Got back together at 18 almost 19 after graduation. We’re currently 22 and happily live together. So do we count as high school sweethearts? 🤣
