Didnt know what the 1812 Overture was and went to look it up…😳 THIS WHOLE TIME I thought the cannon fire bit in movies were a comedic/cool little piece. That was how it was supposed to be originally?!? 🤣🤣

I got to hear overture of 1812 performed by the 77th Army Band at Ft. Sill one year and they did it in conjunction with Howitzere from the FA guys. It was pretty damn cool

How my dad “tricked “ me into listening to classical music. Had it on LP but couldn’t drop the needle at the canon part so I had to listen all the way through.
