Curious why you got a stretch and sweep? I was told by everyone I saw that they wouldn’t give me a stretch and sweep because it was my first baby and they only work if your cervix has been opened before

How incredible is your body! You grew him, you brought him earth side and now your body is nourishing him. Giving birth is by far the most Devine Ive ever felt. Its primal yet this wild physical/spiritual experience. Congratulations Em, you did it ❤️❤️❤️

Are you kidding! We had the exact same birth, down to the theatre, spinal tap, pushing but not feeling it and forceps. Such a beautiful birth ✨✨✨ so happy everyone is healthy!

Ohh I had the same experience of getting taken down for a C section and then at the last check of my cervix in theater I was 10cm, so I ended up pushing him out with 2 pushes while having a spinal block! ☺️

sounds a lot like the birth of my gorgeous girl...except mine was 5 days. Slept (not really) for those 5 days in a chair. Eventually called hospital and said you have to take her out. Like you say as soon as they arrive every minute is worth it. congratulations to you both x

This is what a stretch and sweep does... just irritates the uterus and creates prodromal labour with no progression. Had an almost identical story with my first. Didn't get one for second and went almost to 42 weeks and had a physiological water birth.

Holy shittt I had such a similar experience aka 3 day labour with very little natural progression, I got diagnosed with spurious labour which might have been what happened to you too! Such a rollercoaster of an experience
