I’ve definitely learned the hard way on shoes with my son. I don’t blame the school at all, I blame my kid haha. Bought him crocs (on clearance) for Christmas. Not even 5 months later had the fronts all worn down, not the bottom, the front, like the part that covers his toes that doesn’t touch the ground. Was walking into school with him one morning and watched him dragging the front of his shoes on the blacktop. 🤦🏼♀️it’s fake crocs for him until he can walk less feral, smh

😂 😂 her head would have exploded if her kid went a grade school like the one I went to in the 60s. Our *entire* playground was dirt (I grew up in Bakersfield) that they sprayed oil on every year to keep the dust down. White socks literally turned orange from dirt getting inside shoes. The only green to be seen were some holly bushes growing against the main building next to the drinking fountain. I remember *those* very clearly—you know how holly leaves have pointy sharp edges? I was running to the drinking fountain during one recess when I tripped & fell face first into one of the holly bushes. My mouth was open & my tongue was cut all over. So that day, in addition to orange oiled dust covered socks, I also had blood all down the front of my dress. 😂

My daughter stepped in mud right in front of me. I just rinsed them off. The shoes were second hand.
