I've got "unraveling" trauma so I still add knots to the ends when I do this, structural integrity is the most important part of fiber arts to me. Simply weaving in the ends isn't stable enough, it's going to come undone, regardless of how careful you are. Aesthetics and feel are secondary to sturdiness lol, because I HATE having to repair the same sock over and over and over again 😂
