@doctor.nessim: Day 3 of trying to start an interventional pain practice straight out of fellowship. My goal is to build a practice that does everything you would expect from a traditional interventional pain practice, while also going above and beyond to help patients stay out of pain and optimize their overall well-being. My plan is to combine interventional pain care with evidence-based longevity medicine, which could include concierge physical therapy/personal training, weight loss medicine, hormone replacement when appropriate, regenerative medicine, and additional modalities. Transparently, I’ve been hesitant to use the term “longevity medicine” because there is definitely some pseudoscience in that space. But I recently described the practice to someone who would be an ideal patient, and it didn’t fully click for them until I used the word longevity. So I’m leaning toward describing what I’m building as interventional pain and longevity medicine. Curious what you think.
