@innerbalancelab2: For a long time, burnout can look like a discipline problem. You think you need to wake up earlier. Work harder. Be more productive. Push yourself a little more. But sometimes you’re not lazy. You’re exhausted. When you’ve been under pressure for too long, even rest can start to feel uncomfortable. You slow down, but your mind keeps going. You finally have nothing to do, yet you still feel like you should be doing something. Then come the signs you can’t ignore anymore: The brain fog. The constant fatigue. The lack of motivation. Feeling emotionally drained. Being tired but unable to truly switch off. And pushing harder isn’t always what gets you out of that cycle. Sometimes recovery starts with allowing your body to experience something it may have been missing for a long time: rest without guilt. You don’t have to earn your right to recover. And if ongoing exhaustion or changes in mood are interfering with your daily life, it’s worth speaking with a qualified healthcare or mental-health professional. You are not a machine. You were never meant to run at full speed forever. Save this for the reminder you need when you feel guilty for slowing down. #burnout #burnoutrecovery #fyp #MentalHealth #wellnesstok
Love how there’s so many videos that calls out issues but never explains how or little things to help get better 🙄

We need to change the current system, it’s not sustainable. It’s time for a 4 day work week. In the UK’s trial from 2022, 71% of employees reported feeling less burnt out.

This is all great! And, funny enough, almost exactly what my therapist and I talked about today. 😆 Here’s my question - like, how? LOL Ok, my nervous system needs a break. How do I give it one? 🤷🏻♀️

Yeah my immune system said “you took a week off work? Okay time to fight off flu A and Flu B at the same time!” Felt like I was dying for at least a month

What’s harder is announcing you need rest, but the world around you won’t wait, and can’t wait. You’re forced to push on.

It’s like hitting the metaphorical “brick wall” in marathon running, where initially it’s a mental block. Then you reach a mental breaking point, fall apart, put yourself together, and you eventually move past it… then you can run forever. Burnout becomes a lifestyle because you either embrace the suck or let it destroy you.

I agree. However, society is set up to keep the cycle going. I know for a fact that if I take the time to recover I'll be living under a bridge in less than a year.

That was me for most of my life until I hit rock bottom 5 years ago. Now I read this and it’s a distant memory. I still struggle but not nearly as bad and am in a much healthier place in my life. There is hope. Love to all struggling right now ❤️
