to answer the question, hanging shirts like that help save on space because a lot of people who have smaller closets, let's say in New York or places where space is very limited. by hanging all the shirts going down, you utilize the entire vertical space instead of leaving a giant Gap at the bottom with nothing there.

I just bought something to do the same thing. this would have been cheaper. I am using it to store the items I am less likely to use in a way that they take up less room.

I do like the zip tie colour but wouldnt use zip ties for that. Maybe short term but I think I would rather use a length of chain. The ideas not bad though
