FYI in my BCT, we had one guy who quit in week 2, we completed week 22 and he was still there when we left for graduation.

I heard a story of a guy that quit, or as they put it "refused to train" and wasn't allowed to go to eat because chow was on his training schedule and he was refusing to train

They told us the fastest way out of recruit training was to graduate. There was a guy that quit our platoon in 1st phase and when we graduated, he was sweeping the parade deck for us.

Weird. Didn’t know you got to go home after boot. I went to tech school, which was another 10 weeks, then got to my first base, then 2 months later I was in training in Florida to go to Camp Bucca. I left for boot camp in 2006 and didn’t see my hometown for almost 5 years.

every time my platoon was marching around parris island and we saw the "separation candidates" our drill instructors would stop us making us face the direction of where they were and do a chant basically saying "we see you, we don't feel bad, and look at us now"

We had a guy in reception that wanted out so he made another trainee break his leg 3 times the army said it wasn’t bad enough so he had to stay at reception and wait for it to heal and then go to basic he was still there when I went to AIT

AF bmt. We had a guy with such bad hearing that he didn’t medically qualify for any job, he went into the separation flight middle of first week. The last March we did before graduation, I saw him moving sand bags, it was kinda sad, pretty sure he knew it was us

you can in fact quit in IET status, you quit in BCT you will be discharged it just might take the entire time you would’ve had to go thru BCT +

sadly it is an actual making fun of you because if you're not built in for the building let's face at the military is really not up forward with no one they do not sit there and tell you what you are actually signing up for ask horse people in the military they have no idea what they got themselves into it's usually most people that have nowhere else to go or they're trying to something because they're parents grandparents or whoever got them into it so yeah it is a humiliation
