Would I say RDR2 is overrated? Absolutely, game is glazed wayyyyy too much. The writing is what made that game stand out not the gameplay. Would I say RDR2 is a bad game? Fuck no, still one of my favourite games I’ve ever played. Something can be overrated and still be amazing

RDR 2 was just not my cuppa tea. I love the original, but the second one felt like a slog to me. Very well made game, I can understand why some people love it, but it just wasn't for me.

imo rdr2 is a mid videogame but greatest history game that ive ever played. Mybe its fun if you are a 40 yo dad and well the slow gameplay pacing is something you like but honestly if i want to have fun i never hop on rdr2 in my life i never wanted fun and said "sure damn i need sum rdr2 time" in that category rdr2 lacks lots of fun. For me idk insane good game is Doom Eternal that game fun asf aaaaaand idk honestly but rdr2 i cant blame no one to dislike it because i really fw rdr2 i have around 300hours on it but ngl its pain on the ass playing campaing more than 2 times and not to mention the amount of bullshit you need to do to get a random hat. Historywise its the best experience you are getting but for me well a game needs to be fun to play and be replayable in a funny way, rdr2 is replayable to some extend but the gameplay makes it hella mid

Rdr2 is not the golden standard for video games 😭 this video is exactly why people call it overrated, it’s a good game but it’s really not allat. The fact that it takes over a couple hours to “get good” is an issue, the fact that its mission design is not innovated is an issue. The fact its gameplay is mid is an issue. Rockstars games are literally like avatar movies, just because they’re popular does not equate to it being the greatest of all time

i love rdr2, i had a ton of fun playing it and its in my top 10. that being said, its overrated. the term "overrated" is relative, and compared to the praise it gets, it isnt THAT good.

Rdr2 isnt a game really it’s morso an experience the gameplay itself is like a7/10 just a slower version of your average gta gameplay but the thing that makes it special is everything around it the attention to detail the story the living breathing world the focus on realism there are times where sometimes when riding to places I’ll stop to just admire the world

I love the game. But it is severally over rated. Amazing open world with a broken wanted system, ps2 gamplay missions, forced loadouts (Seriously, you'll see it if you are paying attention to the game. During certain missions, for no reason whatsoever, your loadouts will change. Usually my lancaster rifle gets replaced by the carbine.) and etc. The game is a solid 7 out of 10 game with some amazing moments.

I think rdr2 should be standard for open world games because why is there over 100 different animals I can study in the game? And the STORY omg get outta here it isn’t ment to be played super fast it is a slow paced game it’s supposed to be you are supposed to take your time finding things and exploring it’s in my top 3 games
