I was place into therapy for suicidal ideation and my father revealed this to my teachers in 8th grade thinking they would be supportive. Nope. They waited until an out of state field trip to go after me. Male classmates were harassing me and one of them farted into his hoodie and then shoved it into my face. A teacher named, Cindy Shankin, stood up and announced to the bus that I deserved it, then sat back down and turned her back to me. I got treated like shit the entire five days and she discouraged students from interacting with me.

what baffles me is HOW were these kids able to get away with this shit. teacher DO hear things. and from my experience, even my parent raising hell, did absolutely nothing. they wanted me dead. and they made it known. ill never understand how KIDS have so much hate in their hearts but more importantly, i’ll never understand the lack of justice for our little selves.

They did that cause you're pretty. i wish I could tell you that it gets better. But honestly, women and grown folks don't really outgrow those behaviors, it's so childish, but most definitely, I know you don't wanna hear it, but it was probably because you threatened them but I just existing, because if it had to take a group of them to take you down or pull you or make you feel lesser than they're all insecure.

I seriously dont know what it was with middle school and starting rumors about someone having herpes because looking back what would they even know about it?!?! I just wonder if they think it was synonymous with acne bc I know for me they thought I had herpes bc I would break out every but so what every 11 year old does. i'm really sorry to hear bullying was as severe as it was for you. those are such formative years so it takes a a great toll on one's overall health
