before i found my self esteem i would date ppl that would be mean to me, but when they’d be mean i would think they didn’t mean it and i was just being sensitive. however once this guy i was seeing told me he would try to be as mean as possible to me to try to get me to react to something for once, and it grossed me out so bad bc i had thought he had poor social skills so i was giving him the benefit of the doubt. ppl are weird when you’re a really calm and understanding person

A manager at work said to my face there was an ongoing bet to see when me and another very relaxed TL would snap. Like they genuinely wanted to see both of us hit our breaking points just for fun and i have yet to forget that comment and it’s the only thing keeping me from giving them all the reaction they desperately want out of me

helpp this is so mee.. also one time I did crash out in front of ppl after their abuse and they were so pleased to see me do so.. quite a lonely experience then as they get satisfaction from having that effect on you..

people constantly would tell me, oh I never see you get mad, oh do u have an evil side, and I would tell them like I have emotions just no need to be like that towards everybody. it created this weird dynamic where I felt I could not show emotion other than happy nice and quiet out of fear it would confirm that I wasn't who they thought I was.... safe to say I'm not living like that anymore

When I was dealing with an abusive man he never comforted me when I cried and commented how i disassociated when he hit me and held me hostage. The one time he ever comforted me when I was crying was when I finally slapped him twice and he held me for the first time. It was weird. Then the next day Hes like we are so toxic hehe.. nah you are and I reached a breaking point . Mind you I just slapped him. I was swollen bruised and strangled. They want people to be miserable like them fr it makes them feel normal about their actions.
