Reading through the comments, I realize many of you don’t share a faith in Jesus Christ, and that’s completely okay. This post wasn’t meant to convince anyone it was for those who already have faith but may be struggling with it. I respect everyone’s beliefs, and I appreciate the conversation

Believing in the sun is backed by evidence and it literally being visible everyday. God isn’t comparable to that, all gods are invisible at all times and not proven like gravity is.

I’m Muslim, but this comparison honestly doesn’t make sense. Yes, we don’t see the sun at night or when clouds cover it, but we’ve all seen the sun before. No one has seen God. A better comparison would be a blind person believing in the sun. They may have never seen it, but they can still feel its warmth and know it’s there. That’s closer to faith in God. We don’t believe because we’ve physically seen Him. We believe because we feel His presence. We feel Him when we ask for help, during our hardest days, during our happiest days, and in the way our prayers and faith affect us. Believing without seeing is literally part of what makes faith, faith.

to all the atheists, im pretty sure this post isn’t specifically for “proof that God exists” but for proof that God exists even when we think He’s distant or not there anymore. so i think this one’s mostly for people who stopped believing due to feeling like He doesn’t exist because they didn’t feel Him anymore.

This is a false equivalence because the reason we can’t see the sun at night is already understood and there is overwhelming evidence that the sun exists. Not being able to see something doesn’t automatically mean it doesn’t exist, but it also doesn’t mean that it does exist. If you’re using the sun as an analogy for your god, you still need to provide independent evidence that your god exists. ‘You can’t see it’ is not evidence for its existence; otherwise, the exact same argument could be used to claim that literally anything invisible exists

If seeing is believing then you would have to meet every scientist to ever speak on the things you believe. You would have to meet every ancestor to believe you’re real. See ever living thing to know they are alive. And see the entire universe beginning to end to know it happened. Life is built on faith whether you’re Christian or not. The only question is whether you believe God is the creator or nothing is the creator. You never go to a restaurant and assume the meal just came to be you believe that a chef made the food.
