That is why flexing a car or a Richard Mille means little when someone else owns the company behind it. Owning the product is one thing; owning the business that produces it is another level entirely. In a developing economy, we sometimes mistake visible consumption for wealth. Real wealth, however, is often found in ownership, businesses, assets, and the ability to create economic value.
