My dad, a widower, received a federal government retirement annuity on the 1st of the month-direct deposit. He passed on the 14th. That month’s annuity was pro-rated and the amount from the 15th to 31st was due back to the government and withdrawn from his account.

What If a parent passes on July 25th and he has received his social security on July 3, as well as his pension, he has in his account $3900 in his account account with no spouse. He has 2 daughters listed on his account with him having a bank card with his name on it, along with one of his daughters, what will happen to that money?
