Although I do agree that we should be having more transparent conversations about salaries and money overall, I wouldn’t say that talking about money in PH is considered “Bastos”. It’s become incredibly normalized to ask people around you for money in the form of a loan, sometimes even ghosting them afterwards. If anything, people should be more conservative about asking someone for money as frequently as they do, it comes off as very squammy and makes me not want to keep a relationship with you, let it be a friend or a family member.
