Indeed the Springboks realised France actively avoided scrums during their match in November 2022, where South Africa was limited to just one single scrum feed the entire game. In 2023 WC Springboks forced France to scrum many times.

The Springboks are not playing high IQ rugby it is more of a stop us if you can approach they use brute force, simple and direct rugby. The only reason why New Zealand keeps losing to them is that from Foster's tenure they have desregarded what made them great, which was tough physical specimen who could swing the ball out wide now. The All Blacks no longer have the likes of Kaino, Collins, Brad Thorne, Franks Brothers etc. Even in the backline they do have physical specimen Jordie is not a 12 you need a physical specimen there to take the ball up. Lastly as much as some players might have great super rugby seasons does not mean they are cut out for test rugby.

I agree 💯. Duane Vermeulen is arguably one of the most important pieces of the Springboks’ rugby intelligence. His value goes far beyond what happens on the field. He understands the game at a strategic level, reads patterns as they develop and helps translate what senior players are seeing into actionable information for the coaching team. That constant flow of intelligence during a Test can be a huge competitive advantage.

First off, I'm a SAFA. Secondly, I have now watched a good few of your posts. You just explained, exactly what I've been thinking! Ur AB team has skills, real skills. But the Boks never let you use them... The times when you did use your skills, their Defense was only just enough. But it only happened once or twice in the whole game! They just never let you use them.
