This happened to me too! They’re not so strict with disputes as Australia so dispute it ASAP. They waived off mine easy 😊

Take it to the counsel just get it cleared it’s straight forward only a tiny bit of paperwork just make them aware you had no idea, honestly most of the time they don’t want to deal with the paperwork and clear it. The parking wardens are the ones that are on one🤦🏽♀️
