@iltv_israel: Yehuda Aharon Widawski, Israel’s oldest Holocaust survivor, has died at the age of 107. Widawski survived Auschwitz and Nazi forced labor after losing his parents and three siblings during the Holocaust. He immigrated to Israel in 1950 and settled in Tel Aviv. Widawski later devoted decades to restoring Jewish cemeteries in Poland, helping identify and mark more than 3,000 graves. In 2012, he was chosen to light a torch at Israel’s official Holocaust Remembrance Day ceremony. He once described his revenge on the Nazis simply: “They lost, and we have the State of Israel. We are free and strong.” May his memory be a blessing.
