@botanicsydney: #WeWatchTheWall Horticulturist Terra-Nova is here to reveal not only the latest design for the Southern Hemisphere’s largest green wall at The Calyx, but also the meticulous process behind bringing it to life. With more than 18,000 plants to work with, every placement is carefully considered to create a living masterpiece. This year’s design draws inspiration from Putricia, our famously fragrant Titan Arum (Amorphophallus titanum), and the wider Araceae family. The result is a striking living artwork rich in texture, vibrant greenery and botanical detail, celebrating a diverse group of plants characterised by their distinctive spadix and spathe flowering structures. But unlike most works of art, this one keeps reinventing itself. As plants grow, change colour and spill into new forms, the wall evolves day by day, transforming throughout the seasons. 🌱 See the latest transformation for yourself at The Calyx, Royal Botanic Garden Sydney.
