Well here we go again It’s really not a proper skin examination if your clinician hasn’t used a dermatoscope. The diagnostic accuracy sky rockets 🚀 when you see a clinician who is skilled in Dermoscopy This means you have more information without a biopsy! It means in this instance for example we were able to worn out that topical therapy was not likely to be helpful and that we could go straight to a surgical excision and treat this cancer in one step. If you’re a medic and want to learn more Dermoscopy I’d recommend checking out Healthcert who do an awesome job. Obvious conflict of interest is that I teach for them! If you use my code to register for pretty much most short courses they’ll also pay me for sending you their way. Truth is though oversight for the for a little over 5 years and had done a bunch of their courses when I was in my earlier stages of skin cancer learning!
