People who say Hal doesn’t act like this in the comics have never read the comics. Hal was never the goody two shoes righteous person like Superman. Hes always been arrogant and egotistic, and a prick at times but he has a heart of gold and genuinely cares about saving people. Hes the greatest/best green lantern ever and he’s always been cocky the show didn’t make anything up that’s why people say this a 10/10 casting.

something I find very interesting is how much young Hal Jordan likes John and how he calls out his older self almost Like hal became villainous in this episode almost but another thing is during the attack you can see those brief moments of the real hem coming out like when he reassures the person in the car that it's gonna be alright If Hal truly didn't give a dab, he wouldn't have said anything to just said get the fuck out but he didn't It tells me that I believe parallax is happening but also it's more than that too just my opinion tho

I hate that both of them aren't getting along when they both want the same thing. I just wish that they both weren't trying to stab each other in the back. And the fact that John took the ring from Hal and then he just gave it away to the guardian, which to me just defeats the purpose of his journey for the ring (obviously it's deeper than that just explaining the surface level of his decision) because it's like just leave it with Hal, but I get why he did it, because this dude, Hal was kind of wilding, for basically leaving him for dead in that car, I would be pissed off too ngl
