The chapman stick was developed by Emmett Chapman in 1969. It is a unique electric musical instrument where sound is produced by tapping the strings with the fingertips. Instead of plucking the strings or using a pick like on classical guitars, it is played by tapping ( pressing ) the fingers on the fretboard. It allows for playing both bass rhythms and melodies simultaneously. Both hands work independently on the fretboard. The instrument is played standing or sitting, held at a steep angle close to the chest with the help of a strap. The strings on the fretboard are divided into two separate groups: one group is tuned for bass sounds, while the other group is tuned for higher melody sounds ]](/video/cover/7690484619531111732.webp)
