Think about the jewellery you already wear. I chose yellow gold and steel because I regularly mix metals, so it works with both my gold and silver pieces without having to think about it. 3. Panthère vs Tank:
This came down to how I wanted to wear it. The Tank feels more like a statement watch, whereas the Panthère’s fluid bracelet makes it feel more like a piece of jewellery. If you want something understated, elegant and easy to wear every day, I’d lean Panthère. 4. Value:
I wouldn’t buy a Panthère as an investment. Cartier generally doesn’t retain value in the same way as certain Rolex models. Retail prices have increased over time, which can support resale values, but I’d buy this because you genuinely want to wear it, not because you expect to make money from it. 5. Movement:
The Panthère is quartz and for this particular watch, that was actually a plus for me. I already own an automatic Rolex Datejust, so I wanted an everyday jewellery watch I could pick up and wear without thinking about winding it, resetting the time or keeping it running.
