I was doing this new swing thing I made with a football in the swing. It held my weight before and I was doing a cringe TikTok video just for fun to save in my drafts and I hopped on then it fell. I looked up and I was in shock because my mom said it would hold, but yeah, I was kind of stupid that I’ll do that multiple times in the day. Don’t worry I’m not really hurt. it was kind of fun though not gonna lie. ##cringe##sensory#fa#fall
Mark Twain was born Samuel Langhorne Clemens on November 30, 1835, in the tiny village of Florida, Missouri. His father was a lawyer, only mildly successful but sharp and disciplined, while his mother was warm and full of stories, the kind of household that shaped a boy who would go on to make storytelling his life's work. The family soon moved to Hannibal, Missouri, a small town on the banks of the Mississippi River. It was a place full of contradictions — steamboats and circuses on one side, real violence and bloodshed on the other. By the time Twain was ten, he had already witnessed a killing and the brutal death of an enslaved person, memories that stayed embedded beneath the humor he would later become famous for. When Twain was eleven, his father died suddenly, and the family was pushed into years of financial struggle. He left school to work as a printer's apprentice, later becoming a licensed steamboat pilot on the very river he grew up beside — an experience that gave him both his pen name and the material for some of his most vivid writing. His literary career eventually took him from journalism to national fame, producing The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, along with a string of other works that captured American life with a mix of humor and unflinching honesty. He died on April 21, 1910, the same year Halley's Comet returned — the same comet that had appeared the year he was born, 75 years earlier.
