while a good thing disney changed their looks as their old look was...problematic now, looking back with more clarity. in show canon, you can make the argument perhaps family were pressuring them to be top in athletics, dressing up and mannerisms as this can be why young asain individuals may behave this way. only getting older do they get more rebellious and focus on their individual interests
