thank you for this. its disappointing when I try to engage with anti-transmasculinity discussions only to see the comments flooded with people misgendering and hating on transwomen for what is in reality a small minority of them

I wholeheartedly agree, both discussions of transmisogyny and anti-trans masculinity have the potential to devolve into unproductive anti-transmasculinity or transmisogyny if left unchecked. Thank you for making this post, and I apologize for the other day when I got heated with you.

thank you for saying this, sometimes i often see trans men get themselves in these echochambers of transandrophobia where they are constantly online reading screenshots from trans women who hate them, and then they begin to think all trans women are like that. when in reality thats not the case and if we dont stick together as a community we will all fall apart

I really appreciate this video. I’ve noticed responses within large comment threads of sexist name calling toward trans women and it’s just not what these conversations are for. I love women, and I love trans women. Personally I’ve been ostracized within groups of trans women by simply just being a trans man, and while they wanted me there it was hard to feel welcome. And frankly I feel that has more to do with ignorance than hatred in my experience, and these conversations I think are needed to bridge these gaps of understanding. As a trans man I love trans women deeply and have loved being the support for a long time or brief period in the lives of those who I’ve met. ♥️♥️

i have so many words filtered so i can individually review comments. if it's just someone venting who also mentions how other queer people including trans men perpetuate transphobia? it can stay up. if it's transmisogynistic and blames trans women for all of our problems? it's deleted without seeing the light of day. i refuse to put down my loved ones in the pursuit of feeling heard

Like while it's a huge issue within the queer community between trans woman and trans men, we need to forget neither group is oppressing each other. We have bigger enemies!!!

it's also hugely important not to focus on trans women as the MAIN perpetrators, even if that's what you see the most online. antitransmasculinity is a patriarchal system of oppression mainly enforced by cis men and women, and that's what we should focus on. the few trans girls who do punch horizontally are hurtful, but not the CAUSE of our suffering.
