@bossmanbrewster: BIG REFORM DOESN’T PULL UP TO PERFORM—WE PULL UP TO HAVE REAL CONVERSATIONS WITH DA HOMIES! 💯 Getting out of prison is NOT the end goal. STAYING OUT is the end goal. That requires more than motivation. It takes accountability, preparation, practical reentry skills and somebody who understands the culture well enough to challenge it. Big Reform meets people where they are—but refuses to leave them there. This is what transformation-centered programming looks like when lived experience meets real strategy. Today’s inmate is tomorrow’s neighbor. Let’s prepare them for more than release—let’s prepare them to remain free. #BigReform #CorrectionalLeadership #ReentryProgramming #PrisonReform #recidivismratesareproof

And how do you change in prison if you are not given opportunities to make better. I was 17 when I got to Angola, all there was was field work for lifers, no school, no kind of skills training, So here I sit today 7 years out and no job. a hernia keeps me from manual labor. I don't like being dependent upon the government for hand outs but I have no choice 🤷

Big Ol' Facts 💯. Been home 2 years since serving 22 years and 10 months and I didn't make parole. Rehabilitation starts with self because the system is not going to rehabilitate a person. You have to feel the need to change. Not just want it.💯

to continue to follow the rules once you are free from prison requires a round the clock support team that will cover you in every area needed to function in society. This means transportation, mental health therapy, drug related therapy, help with job security family support...and money to be able to live thrive and function. without these things your bound to repeat the same cycles

ain't that the truth... the second time I went in, I told myself I would change my life. I didn't mess with the gangs this time, I stayed solo, went through the bull with the Tangos not liking that. I went to ever class I could, worked out and utilized my time day by day and did my four years day for day and long way discharged. I've been out since 2012. Married for 14 years. I don't cheat on my woman, I stay away from the negative energy, I got my ego in check, and I accepted responsibility for my own actions. I grew up. It's hard at all to stay out.
