Terrible analogy. National parks are also entirely self-sufficient, so to provide an external variable that screws up the food chain, is to disrupt the natural order within nature. News flash: current inflation rates are not caused by the people who require/desire handouts for survival. Take for example the fisherman analogy. Feed a man a fish and he eats for a day, but teach a man to fish and he'll eat for a lifetime. If that man were to only ever fish out of his local pond, he would be perfectly self-sufficient. But what happens when a multi-billion dollar corporation comes in and mass produces every pond within a 50 mile radius? How is one supposed to "pull themselves up by the bootstraps" at that point? I'm not disagreeing with the concept, but in practice it is not as black and white as you guys are making it out to be. The current state of America is the furthest it's ever been from the "American dream".
