My God! You just spoke to me. Growing up in a dysfunctional household creates a lot of problems for us in many ways that we don’t realize. I’m now discovering that this is one of the reasons why I tolerated the toxicity in my marriage, thinking it was normal. It has cost me a lot🥹

I developed BPD from my childhood of abuse, abandonment, and feeling not worthy of love that I cling to people who show me the slightest bit of love.. and it has caused me unbearable pain as an adult. The irony is that I know why I am the way I am and no matter how much I recognize it I still fall into the same cycles. I’m currently one year separated from who I thought was the love of my life and I’ve done nothing but miss her that i have a hard time allowing myself to move forward and be open to allowing other people to even talk to me.. I’m scared.. the pain this has me feeling like I have ptsd from what I went through with her.. I’m terrified of opening up to anyone again.
