@deenti4u: Do NOT use your new acrylic brush straight out of the package. Most new acrylic brushes come crimped and coated with a factory starch to protect the bristles during shipping. If you dip it into monomer without removing that coating first, you’ll ruin the shape, contaminate your liquid, and wonder why your brush isn’t performing properly. Here’s what you need to do first: ✨ Gently remove the plastic cap ✨ Use a lint-free wipe to softly massage the bristles and break up the starch ✨ Lightly brush it back and forth on a clean surface to release all stiffness ✨ Soak and wipe in clean monomer until the bristles are flexible and smooth ✨ Reshape the brush tip before your first bead If you skip this step, your brush won’t pick up product correctly, won’t flex the way it should, and your bead control will suffer. Your brush isn’t “bad.” It just wasn’t prepped. Take 2 extra minutes to uncrimp it properly — your application will be smoother from the very first set.
