My boss left, and I was made manager over 6 people I thought of as friends. I was told as soon as I took the job, that our group would be laid off. I worked my ass off to get positions for all of them, only for all my options for myself to fall through. Not a single one if them reached out after I was laid off with the exception of one text. Coworkers are not friends. its just forced proximity.

Telling every coworker a different lie to see whos the gossiper. You find out early who to trust. I started at a place and there was a supervisor who seemed friendly but everyone warned me to watch what I say/do because she will stab me in the back. Told her a lil lie about something completely irrelevant and yeah she tried to use it against me. Didn't work because it completely backfired

told a coworker I was leaving and I was going to talk to the boss about it when there was time. next time I had to ask the boss something that coworker had told her. the boss gave me shit about it, if I didjt have a customer I wouldve walked out for how she spoke to me, I only stayed because I loved that customer

As a neurodivergent girl this has been my experience as whole entire working life experiencing this. I stopped yapping and oversharing and I’m still not like because I’m not friendly enough (I smile at them all the time, say hello googlebye, make small talk and ask them questions about themselves) I literally can’t win and all I want is to just make friends

Like I'll have mfs tell me about their really personal uncomfortable stuff but if I talk ab something I'm interested in they look at me like I offended them I don't get it. But then they don't like me if I DONT share anything about my life like wtf do you want from me
