As far as most Toyota Tundra owners are concerned, the Tundra was discontinued in 2021

I still would go buy Toyota with a possible defective engine before I buy any Ram/Dodge vehicles.😅

EPA has pushed for these minuscule changes and emissions and mileage, pushing past the ability for technology to deal with them, and this is the result engine and transmission, failures, loss of durability and reliability, which should be the first consideration now we have throwaway cars

Three engines in my 2024 1794. It’s not a little engineering flaw, it’s the whole damn thing. This third one better be good to me. So far 5,800 miles on this one

Should have left the v8 in the Tundra and should have left the v6 in the Tacoma and Lexus RX models.

Toyota over the past 10 years it just gone downhill. I'm sure some of their cars are still legendary, but they really screwed the pooch on the third GEN Tacoma and the tundra.

The Care Care Nut..on YT has the skinny on Toyota's engine problems the past 2 yrs. I'll stick with my 1grFE in my '08 FJ. When it goes, I'll get a new engine, the upgraded 2010.

I think its because they call for a 0W20 oil in a twin turbo engine. Should be 0W30 or 0W40. C.A.F.E standards have ruined cars. The thin oil is just to squeeze a a couple more miles per gallon so they can hit the corporate average fuel economy standards mandated by the CAFE standards. What a joke. At least run a stout full synthetic 0W30 in them like Castrol Euro 0W30.

Emissions is why v8’s went away. Take a look at the climate weather issues all over the place. And you still want the v8. Enjoy your tornados, wildfires and derechos
