This tool is a really great solution for putting a socket on something when there isn't room to swing the socket wrench. At 15 inches, it's long enough to get to most places you'd need. I was able to get it between my engine and firewall to remove a bolt for a sensor that I just didn't have room to get at with a normal wrench. I've had countless experiences in the past wrenching on old cars where I had to remove stuff just to get at a bolt, and looking back, this tool could have saved so much time. This tool has two 3/8
This tool is a really great solution for putting a socket on something when there isn't room to swing the socket wrench. This tool has two 3/8" square sockets for the socket wrench on one side and the adapter and socket on the other. It comes with 4 adapters: 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", and a 1/4" bit adapter that fits onto the 1/4" socket adapter. With this combination, I can use pretty much any socket or bit I might need. The tool itself has a thin silicone sleeve that makes it easier to hold onto, and helps prevent the tool from slipping in my hand. As a great bonus, it comes in a form fitted foam holder that will keep this tool and it's adapaters organized in my tool chest. I will say, there are some things about it that make it awkward or less ideal. Using it is a two handed operation. You'll need to either hold this in place or brace it against something to keep it from moving as you apply pressure to the socket wrench. The 3/8" adapter is longer than it needs to be, in fact it is longer than the 1/2" adapter. This means it takes up more space and might limit where you can slip this tool in. The two sockets are connected by a chain drive (you can hear the chain inside the tool), which means that if enough torque is applied, the chain could stretch and possibly start to jump teeth. I would not use this to torque something down with a lot of force, and I wouldn't use it with a breaker bar. Also, there doesn't appear to be a way to lubricate the insides of the tool. I think this tool will probably fail with enough use (likely by the chain stretching over time), but considering the limited times a tool like this is really needed for a hobby mechanic like me, for my purposes it should last for a long time.
