Looks like biofilm. I'd suggest soaking the parts in hydrogen peroxide. Biofilm is hard to completely remove with traditional clean and wants to keep coming back even if stuff looks completely clean. A peroxide soak basically nukes it so that it can't reform as easily.

Mine has never looked like that. I always run either vinegar or peroxide through mine. I also always place the tip in peroxide before and after each use.

I use a bit of white vinegar in mine everyday. I keep it in the bathroom and pour it in. Just a little bit and then warm water and I let that run for for cycle and rinse well. At least once a day for me, usually in the morning
