Buy him a stuffed animal and create an attachment to it! Use it while he’s bfeeding and try some gentle sleep training methods!! Worked like a charm with my girl :)

what personally worked for me was switching to only before naps and bedtime, then just before bedtime, then took it away completely. so it’s not a big change at once. i took it slow too between transitions. took about two weeks in total i believe.

It’s SO hard!! We went for 13.5 months also!! No paci, literally I was it all. I tried three different methods, but unfortunately I had to just cold turkey him with cutting off night feeds first! I wouldn’t let him nurse to sleep and if he woke up in the middle of the night, I didn’t nurse him back to sleep. I nursed him in the morning time, then we did some snacks but he actually is a horrible eater🥲 so it made it harder! But within about a week he was good! You got this mama!!! Try a sippy cup, it’s easier on them too!!!! 👏👏👏👏

I’m going through this right now and I actually don’t know where to start at all. My boy will only take my boob and eats all day. He is refusing food as well. I truly don’t know what to do or where to go.

I had my baby boy a week or so (June 18) before you had Slayton, and as I’ve watched yalls journey it’s made me realize how similar our journeys are. We also cosleep and he nurses still. Our problem is he bites me if he gets sleepy and wants to nurse. He will lift my shirt up to nurse… 🫠 I don’t know where to begin to ween him… like how am I suppose to get him to sleep without nursing him 😂😭😂

I’m in the same boat. My daughter Birthday the same as Slayton and she goes 8 hours everyday perfectly fine without me nursing her but as soon as we get home she needs to nurse immediately and then she wants it at any moment. It does get overwhelming at times cause I had just nursed her 5 mins prior to that. I know it’s going to be hard but I’m ready.

Crucify me as you want but I did co-sleep with my babies and the main time they wanted to nurse was when they wanted to go to sleep. I honestly just was done when I was done and told them no. My exhaustion fueled me on my stance.

So many people say start with then day then work to night. However my girls issue isn’t during the day so I started with her first wake up during the night and now she’s content and then just keep going from there take one away at a time

We did milk in a sippy before bed, and I would have to leave the room and my husband would have to give him the milk before bed!! We don’t co sleep so I don’t know if it will make the difference but within 2 days he acted like he didn’t even want it !

Went through this same thing this summer. 19 months, extremely attached, I cut out all day time feeds and then just did night, then just decided to cut out night time. Got her a stuffed animal to hold and cup of water and turned on brown noise. She only fussed for 1-2 nights and she hasn’t asked for it anymore
