I stayed home and loved the time but Just know that one day the kids all leave and you will have a long rest of your life so make sure you have something for yourself and an option to make money if you need to

I RELATTTTTE! This is what fulfills me. But Genuine question - how do you think you’ll handle it once the babies are all grown up and being out of the work force for so long? My mom was a SAHM and my childhood was pure magic because of it. But then we grew up and she didn’t have much to do with her day and couldn’t get back into work because she hadn’t worked in 15 years. So I’m so nervous to ever fully quit and feeling like I lost my day to day purpose once the kiddies are grown up! 😭

I love this perspective. I’m not this type of woman and sometimes beat myself up for it. I’m curious what you first see your life looking like when your kids no longer need you. What will fulfill you? I don’t know too many women who were staying at home mom’s their whole lives, but I do know two of them, and they are amazing, loving women who have absolutely no idea what to do with themselves now. (not saying that will be your case. I am actually wondering your thoughts on that as it is part of what scares me around giving into the stay at home mom life)

Love this! I have 2 kids and my youngest started kindergarten this year and I work 2 days a week and it's honestly the perfect balance and I love being a SAHM

every since I was a kid I wanted to be a "eastlake mom" (where I lived ) lots of mom's stayed home and took care of their family's in a middle/upperclass area. I did 12 years in healthcare as an emt and im more fulfilled in this part of life and not burnt out.
